Community Cohesion & Engagement
Bringing people from different backgrounds together through activities, awareness sessions, advice, support and engagement.
Brookfields Development Association works to improve the lives and wellbeing of children, young people, families, older people and individuals experiencing disadvantage.
Our journey has been shaped by a simple belief: every person deserves the opportunity to feel valued, supported, safe and included within their community.
Over the years, Brookfields Development Association has worked to strengthen community cohesion, create opportunities for young people, support vulnerable members of our community and raise awareness of issues affecting people locally and internationally.
We listen to residents, respond to local needs and work with community members, volunteers, organisations and partners to help create safer, healthier, stronger and more connected communities.
Our programmes respond to the needs and experiences of people in our communities, with a focus on inclusion, prevention, opportunity and wellbeing.

Supporting young people with mentorship, guidance, advocacy and positive engagement so they can build confidence and recognise their potential.
Raising awareness of gun and knife crime, promoting open conversations, safer communities and positive alternatives to violence.
Providing signposting, practical assistance, social engagement and opportunities to help people remain connected and supported.
Helping individuals and families experiencing financial hardship access essential food and appropriate community support.
Giving residents opportunities to raise concerns, share experiences, access information and identify where additional support is needed.
Young people remain at the heart of our work. We create opportunities for them to discuss challenges, access advice and support, develop confidence and make informed choices.
